Music At Revolution, music is integral part of our Celebration
services. It helps us to celebrate who God is and what He has done
in our lives. Each week, a worship team leads us in singing to God
in a vibrant, high-energy style. If you're anxious about sitting
around listening to boring "church music," don't worry!
We are excited about worshipping God through powerful lyrics and
a style that you're probably already accustomed to.
Message "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for
teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so
that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
[2 Timothy 3:16-17]
Each Sunday at Revolution, a message is shared from God's Word
- the Bible. The Bible is a rich history of God's relationship with
His people, and we consider it the primary text for learning about
God and how to follow Jesus.
The messages are often creative and interactive as a means to make
the timeless message of God's Word practical and relevant to our
21st century world. Each element is carefully chosen to move our
hearts, challenge our thinking, and inspire us toward action. Most
of all, we want to communicate who God is and what He has done in
a way that is easy to understand - yet calls for a radical response
that will ultimately change our lives.
Prayer During each weekly Celebration service, prayer is central aspect
of our response to God. Revolution leaders often lead in prayer
throughout the service. Time may be given for silent individual
prayer. And, sometimes we're invited to speak out short prayers
of thankfulness to God.
Each week, everyone is invited to write a prayer request on the
Connection Sheet found on the bulletin. Drop the tear-off sheet
in the offering, and your request will then be added to our weekly
prayer list given to our staff and prayer team.
Giving Another way to celebrate God and give thanks to Him for all He has
done is by giving a financial gift. Each Sunday, we take time to
give back a portion of our financial resources to God as a way to
worship Him. We understand that everything we have has been given
to us by God. Our money is not our own; we are simply stewards of
what God has given us.
As followers of Jesus, we consider it our responsibility and privilege
to invest our money in the ministries of Revolution in an effort
to spread the message of God's love to a world in need.
Communion Communion is a remembrance of the death and resurrection
of Jesus in the form of bread - representing His body - and juice
- representing His blood.
We read in Luke 22 as Jesus shares a final meal with his disciples,
"Jesus broke bread with His disciples and told them to eat,
saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance
of me." He then took a cup of wine and said, "Drink from
it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured
out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
At Revolution, we will celebrate Communion often - focusing our
minds and hearts on the core of the Christian faith - the death
and resurrection of Christ. If you have chosen to follow Jesus,
we invite you to join with us in taking part in this sacred remembrance.
Quarterly Baptisms Baptism is an outward sign of an inward decision to follow
Jesus as the Forgiver and Leader of your life. Although many people
feel like they need to have a "cleaned up" life before
getting baptized, this is simply not true. Just as water washes
away the dirt from our bodies, the death and resurrection of Jesus
washes away all our sins - thereby reconnecting us in relationship
with God.
We baptize to follow Christ's example
and to profess His leadership in our lives publicly. At Revolution,
we will baptize followers of Jesus on a quarterly basis. If
you are interested in being baptized or have questions about
it, contact Jen Davies.
